With a good turn out for the competition and despite many golfers participating in individual knockouts, everyone had to battle hard in the extreme the elements. With gusting winds and intermittent torrential rain, all golfers were put to the test throughout the day.
The winning pairs were as follows: 1st Alan Sleath and Dave Timbrell with an excellent nett 66. Close behind in 2nd place were David Taylor and Geoff Townsend with a nett 67. 3rd place was taken by Brian Cole and Bob Luke with 67.5. 4th place on count back (OCB) went to Luke and Simon Snow with 68.5 pushing Owen Cook and John Webb into 5th place with the same score.
The twos competition was divided between: David Taylor and Geoff Townsend on the par 3 5th. Alan Sleath and Dave Timbrell on the par 3 14th and Terry Brown and James Denny on the par 3 5th.
