We had a slightly disappointing turnout for the Clark Cup on Saturday. That aside, the foursome medal was played in ideal weather and the course presented in excellent condition.
The trophy winners were Guy Rayson & Jevan Goddard with a net 71, with George Boddy & Matt Thomson taking second place on count back, with a net 74. In third place were Jack Inguanta & Mark Pedge, also net 74.
Only two pairs shot a two — George Boddy & Matt Thomson and Jack Inguanta with Mark Pedge.
Melton Ladies supported charity this week and played for the Macmillan Cancer Support Trophies. Played in two divisions, the Stableford format encouraged a good turnout. The game was followed by a get-together and trophy presentation, with a raffle organised to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. The day raised £150 for the cause.
Division One winner was Pat Skelton (with 31 points), with Kathie Finn in second (with 29) and Jeanette Holland in third on count back (with 27). Division Two winner Liz Snow shot a level handicap 36 points — five points clear of second-placed Pat Bloomer (with 31) and third-placed Cheryl Osborne (with 29).
