Competitions Report to 10th March, 2014

Saturday Individual Stableford — The gents played an individual stableford on Saturday with 60 players taking part. The weather conditions improved as the day went on and some good scores were returned.

Overall winner Bill Hurrell shot 40 points.

Division One was won by Billy Kevan with 37 points on count back from second placed Tim Buxton, Billy had a superb back nine shooting 24 points over the nine holes.

Division Two winner Alan Parkes returned a score of 38 and Glenn Price took second spot on count back with 37.

Winner of Division three was Roy Tomley with 33 points on count back from Doug Woolley also 33 points. There were 5 twos shot by Bev Blake, Guy Rayson, Alan Parkes, Ian Stockdale and Roger Alexander.

 

Monday Morning Mingles — The Monday morning mingles had a small field despite the glorious weather. John and Denise Waldron won the day with a net 30.8 — nearly 6 shots clear of runners up Haydn and Liz Snow with 36.7. Third placed John Squires with Bettyne Norton shot 38.2. The best four ball was Bob Luke and Chris Cook with John and Denise Waldron net 71.4.
