Course in superb condition for the Seniors’ Summer Open

Winners Phil Curtis and Mezz Watchorn

On Thursday 6th August, 148 golfers descended on Melton Mowbray GC from as far away as Tyneside, Lincoln, Huntingdon, and Northampton to play in the annual Senior Summer Open.
On a very warm day, scoring was excellent and close. Players were entertained royally by the Ladies Section who provided refreshments at the Halfway House in aid of the Captains’ Charity Fund before being able to finish off the day with well-earned rest and cool-off in the Bar and Restaurant, before receiving a bottle of Greene King IPA to take home with them.
