On Wednesday 7th July, 18 ladies travelled to Market Rasen in the Lincolnshire Wolds to take advantage of an exchange event which saw 32 of their ladies coming to Melton Mowbray Golf Club.
The weather was kind as the darker clouds and heavy rain rolled in after all 3 player groups had completed their 18 holes. The format was two scores to count and all 3 on the par 3 holes. With an unfamiliar course for most players, deep bunkers and long drives on some holes needed to clear the rough, scoring was a mixed bag.
In first place with 80 points were Chris Cook, Bettyne Norton and Nancy Denny.
In second place with 76 points were Jackie Fisher, Gill Hoggan and Dee Hughes.
In third place with 66 points were Lady Captain Margaret Samways, Jean Moulds and Liz Clark.
