Melton travelled to Kilworth Springs hoping to maintain their winning ways and Team Captain, Steve Wright, was not disappointed as they came came away winners 3 1/2 to 1 1/2. There were a few matches that could have gone either way, but Melton dug deep and overcame an experienced Kilworth team.
On a course that was now recovering from all the hot weather we have experienced, both teams played some very good golf. The points came the following pairings: Duncan Bagshaw and Andy Blunt won 2&1, Billy Kevan and Richard Grieve won 5&3, John Harvey and Bill Hurrell halved, Neil Eaves and Steve Wright won 3&2.
