On Sunday 10th October, the annual Baxter trophy was held at Kirby Muxloe Golf Club arranged by L&RLCGU. Two mixed pairs from every Leicestershire club are invited to play this foursomes scratch trophy and the four top players battle it out again on Sunday 17th October to establish the winning pair.
The day proved to be another perfect, sunny October day with little wind and the course playing extremely well. The teams from Melton were Dale Radford and Nancy Denny and Ollie Battams and Sue Hitchman.
There is a nett prize on the day and Melton were pleased to finish 6th and 11th out of 36 entries.
