Saturday 26th January saw 61 dedicated golfers enter the individual Stapleford competition playing off full handicap organised by Professional Tony Westwood. Despite the cold star,t the temperature started to rise to mid single figures by the middle of the day. Although the going was soft on the greens and playing very long into wind, some very good scores were recorded.
The winner was Alan Sleath with an incredible 43 points well ahead of 2nd placed Darren Mackie with 38 points on count back (ocb), with Club Vice Captain Gerry Stephens 3rd, also on 38 points. 4th was Ray Catton with 36 points.
