Champions of the Interteam Challenge
On Sunday 20th October, Melton Mowbray Golf Club held the Interteam Challenge. This is an annual event which is held after all the club matches have finished. The format is for 8 golfers from all the 6 teams from within the Club to play an 18 hole Stableford competition with each of the team’s best 6 scores counting on each hole. Following torrential overnight rain, the course was wet in places and with soft receptive greens, it proved hard going for most golfers.
The outcome was a win for the Scratch Team with an incredible combined score of 222 pts. 2nd were the B Team with 203 pts and 3rd the C Team with 182 pts. The Seniors, Ladies and Mixed teams completed the turnout for the morning.
