Two Melton Golfers are one step away from a once in a lifetime trip.
Dougie Bryce and Mick Wilson were invited to enter the pairs competition at Seacroft Golf Club as part of the Hole in ONE CLUB Regional Winter Series on Sunday 24th March. Any golfer obtaining the first hole in one is guaranteed the trip of a lifetime to TPC Sawgrass Florida USA the home of the players championship. Dougie and Mick competed against a strong field from various clubs around the country and scored a very respectable 42 points to win this very prestigious regional qualifier. Both players played some excellent golf and gelled extremely well together throughout the 18 holes to produce this winning score.
This has given them automatic selection to play in the National Finals at the West Lancashire Golf Club on Wednesday 17th April. Should they win the Grand Final they will qualify for an all expenses paid trip to TPC Sawgrass. The best of luck to both of you for the playoff.
