Ben, Mick, Jack, Tony, Steve and Ian off to Woodhall Spa
The Road to Woodhall Spa competition came to fruition after 22 events on Sunday 6th October with a 30 man playoff. The golfers all set off with their caddies in tow, who wore white tabards with their golfer’s name. With the forecasted rain giving Melton a miss, the players still had windy conditions and soft greens to contend with on the day.
The outcome would provide the additional players to join the runaway league leader Tony Robinson to play in a final playoff at Woodhall Spa Golf Club on Saturday 19th October. The winners on the day joining Tony and returning some very good scores were Jack Griffin 68, Steve Burton 68, Mick Cavani 71, Ian Townsend 71 and Ben Manship 72.
