On what was an extremely good golfing day with bright sunshine and very little wind, Melton Seniors turned out to play in the Tony Houghton Trophy. The competition is run over 3 rounds with different types of team formats. It is one of the Seniors’ most prestigious events and is always well supported every year.
After the first round of a Texas scramble, the leaders on the day were Tom Eadon, Dick Chapman and David Hirst. In second place were Bob Purkis, David Bailey, Nick McDonald and Brian Wray.
