TOP MARKS FOR TEACHERS!

Teachers’ Captain Haydn Snow receiving the trophy from Medics’ Captain Steve Middleton

Well, the tide was completely turned this year in the betterball Stableford match between Medics and Teachers. With 53 golfers turning out, men and women  made up the two sides in a match to raise money for additional course projects. The day was a complete success with good weather, a course in great condition and some excellent golf played. The Club Professional, Tony Westwood teamed up with the Teachers’ Captain, Haydn Snow, against the medics and the Pro demonstrated some exceptional tee to green golf.

After the shotgun start, everyone gathered at the 19th hole to continue with their golfing stories and the banter.

Nearest the pin on the par 3 7th was won by the Professional and Nancy Denny, with her first shot of the day, was nearest on the par 3 14th. The teachers won comfortably with a high score of 548 points to 490 points. Many thanks to Haydn and Steve Middleton for organising the competition

There is only one mystery that remains to be solved after what was a fun and fruitful fundraiser.

Is this a bona-fide player with Paul or a masked intruder on the course?
