On Friday morning, the Ladies’ section played host to the team from Kilworth Springs contesting the postponed Handicap League match from June’s washout. Three pairs play 4BBB match play format and the Melton ladies certainly took advantage of the home draw.
Despite copious rainfall throughout the week, the fairways were running well and the greens were in superb condition. The Kilworth Springs ladies congratulated Melton not only on the state of the course, but also for their comprehensive win. Winning pairs were: Lady Captain Nancy Denny and Kathie Finn 3 & 2, Julia Brown and Jean Moulds 2 & 1 and Sue Hitchman and ‘Drina Terzza 5 & 4.
