On a very wet and comparatively cold day, a good number of ladies turned out to take part in the Melton Mowbray Ladies’ Open Am-Am on Friday 18th June. Unfortunately, the rain did not let up for the whole day, but most teams decided to brave elements and complete their 18 hole challenge. The weather ensured that the scoring was not going to be high, but the winners came in with a very respectable 73 points.

Many thanks go to the volunteers who manned the registration desk, acted as starters, sorted the raffle and ran the Halfway House. Thanks too for all the cakes and raffle prizes which helped raise money for the Captains’ charity, Headway.
