The Daily Mail Foursomes Second Round:
Bill Hurrell and Steve Draisey continued with their winning way on Sunday 15th April at Melton Golf Club by beating a good pairing from neighbouring Stapleford Park. They played the front 9 holes twice, due to the back 9 being closed as a result of the inclement weather and the course not having time to dry out.
The Melton pair took an early lead and were 3 up at one point and a win seemed on the cards. However, the persistence and some very good golf from their opponents enabled them to claw their way back into the game and bring it back all square going down the 9th for a second time. Fortunately, our Melton pair won the last hole to give them a win 1 up and put them firmly into the third round draw in 3 weeks.
