On a fine Thursday afternoon, three pairs of players from Ullesthorpe Court came to contest a ladies’ handicap match at MMGC. The weather was sunny and still and the course was in superb condition. As it happens, the first and second matches were easily decided, so all rested on the final match which was settled by the last putt of the game. Ullesthorpe holed their putt to halve the match on the 18th which meant that the meeting between the two clubs was a draw with 1 1/2 points each.
Winning pair were Leah Radford and Lady Captain Nancy Denny, 4 and 3, and Sue Hitchman and ‘Drina Terzza secured the half.
