Melton C Team hosted Lingdale in their inaugural golf match on Thurs 18th April, on a very pleasant and sunny spring day. The course was in excellent condition, which was commented on by the Lingdale Team Captain. The weekend away golf put Melton in good stead as they came off winning 4 matches to 2, although some were very tightly fought.
The winning pairings were Team Captain Adrian Green and Glenn Price who won 2 up. Brendon Boyce and Colin Kitchen won 2 & 1. Keith Tomblin and Mark Lewis won 3 & 2. It was a nail biting finish with scores at 3 to 2 for Melton and the last pairing of Ady Stokes and Alan Parkes to come home and sure enough they won 3 & 2 to give Melton the win.
