MMGC host Patrons Plate for the L & R Golf Captains’ Society

The Society of Leicestershire and Rutland Golf Captains (SLRGC) played in the Patrons Plate competition at Melton Mowbray Golf Club organised by their Deputy Secretary Owen Cook, a current member at MMGC. The format for the day was an Am Am with two scores to count on every hole. The course was in very good condition with receptive greens, so it was an opportunity for some good scoring.

The winning team were Melton Club Captain Gerry Stephens, Alan  Crowson and Paul Taylor both from Kirby Muxloe and Martyn Garnharm from Willesley GC with a score of 84 points.
