Competitors in our Seniors’ Spring Open had a good day with mixed weather conditions. The course proved to be a tough test as the 2 from 4 score stableford resulted in the winning team returning 74 pts. Scoring was close as the 1st and 2nd places were decided by count back and the 3rd place team scored 72 pts. Winners were D Thornton, C Ward, V King and B Keightley, 2nd place were R Harper, B Dring, G Jones and N Brookfield from Renishaw Park and Matlock Golf Clubs. Third place went to D Lott, G Palmer, T Brooks and C Herbert from Kirby Muxloe. Nearest the Pin on the 5th was won by R Tubb from Rushcliffe and on the 14th, G Jones from Matlock. All the competitors complimented the condition of the course.
