On Saturday 19th May MMGC hosted Stoke Rochford in their Annual B Team friendly this year at Melton. The team was lead out by Club Captain Glenn Price and Vice Captain Gerry Stephens. With excellent weather conditions and a course in superb condition, the day produced some excellent golf from both sides.
The result was a win for Melton 4 1/2 to 3 1/2 and the winning points came from:
Brian Cole and JP O’Reilly 5&4, Jack Iguanta and Mez Watchhorn 2&1, Kev Robertson and Ray Smith 2&1, Neil Farish and Martin Hall 3&1 and also Billy Kevan and Gary Taylor with a creditable half.
Well done to all players and to all Greens staff and Artisans for their hard work in making sure that the course is playing very well and looking great.
