Every year a number of competitions are played to raise money for course improvements and this time it was the turn of the ex-service personnel verses the civilians organised by members Bob Luke (Forces) and Haydn Snow (Civilians). A good turn out of 56 members signed up to support the event and play in this highly competitive and always extremely good spirited event.The competition was a paired Stableford event where all the teams’ scores are added together over the whole 18 holes. A free raffle followed the event and the results, announced by Club Captain Gerry Stephens, were as follows:
Forces 3 1/2 wins to Civilians 7 1/2 wins and overall points scored Forces 547 to Civilians 557 points.
