On Friday 27th April, the Ladies handicap team played Scraptoft Golf Club at home. This is the first of four league matches, two played at home and two away.
After much hard work and long hours put in by the Greens team, the course was looking in excellent condition. Although the weather could have been better on the day, all the matches were played in good spirit. Two of the three of the matches were decided on the 18th, so it was a close call, but Melton Ladies emerged victorious 2 and a half to a half.
Team results were: Kathie Finn and Denise Waldron 2 up, Leah Radford and Jean Moulds 7 and 5 and Sue Hitchman and ‘Drina Terzza – halved.
The next handicap league match is June 18th against Kibworth.
