Melton Seniors played their latest match against Radcliff on Trent GC in wall to wall sunshine on Monday, 25th June. Warm temperatures and dry fairways made for long ball carries which helped good scoring and after a hard fought day, Melton came out winners by 5.5 to 2.5.
Scoring pairs for Melton were: Jerzy Schmidt (captain) and Denis Dayman (won 2 and 1), Bob Luke and David McKain (won 4 and 3), Owen Cook and Don Benzie (won 5 and 4), Jim Shaw and Jim McQuillan (halved), David Bentley and Julian Kisiel (won 3 and 2), and vice captain Dick Chapman playing with David Wells (2 up).
